This year for International Women’s Day we are sitting down with some wāhine founders at  Basestation to kōrero about their journey and learnings in setting up and running their own organisation. 

For this blog we’ve captured a conversation with Pascale Hyboud-Peron, founder and Momentum Generator (yes - that is her actual  job title!)  at Stand Tall, a Community Trust that creates the conditions for all youth to maximize their potential so that they can build the future they want to see.

The 5th September is International Day of Charities!

We thought this would be a great excuse to share a bit about one of the charities at Basestation - Stand Tall. Founded by Pascale Hyboud-Peron (also one of the co-founders of Basestation) - Stand Tall works alongside rangatahi to grow and develop their entrepreneur skills and mindset. One of the many programmes Stand Tall delivers in the Bay of Plenty is, the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES). 

In our last post, we shared how Basestation came to life, transforming from an oversized office into a collaborative home for Tauranga’s creatives and entrepreneurs. Today, as Basestation celebrates its 10th anniversary, we look back at the journey since opening day. From quirky tech artifacts to local art, a beloved coffee shop, and spaces for makers, Basestation has evolved into a bustling community that continues to shape Tauranga’s CBD.
